Industrial Sewing & Upholstery Academy

Our academy is offered in partnership with Washington, NC, and Beaufort County Community College. The 102-hour course has been designed to teach the enrichment skills desired to learn the craft of upholstery, or to find gainful employment in industrial sewing and marine repair and upholstery.

Students will learn:

• How to operate an industrial sewing machine

• How to deconstruct and reconstruct furniture

• How to refinish and repair old/antique furniture

• How to reupholster boats, golf cart seats, and air plane seats

• Where to find resources to start your own business, and local companies seeking employees with your skills learned at the academy
